UCL Swift

Established in 1982 as a high-precision tools manufacturer, UCL Swift has grown into a globally recognized leader in the field of optical fiber technology. In response to evolving customer needs, the company introduced its first optical fiber termination products in 1999 and has since continued to develop and launch innovative and reliable products for processing and splicing optical fibers.

UCL Swift’s history is marked by numerous ground-breaking innovations. Among them, the Keyman S1, a core alignment optical fiber fusion splicer, made a notable impact on the global market after its launch in 2007 due to its high reliability, efficiency, and competitive price. In 2010, the Swift F1, a cutting-edge FTTH mini Fusion Splicer that comes with a thermal auto stripper, single-action cleaver, air-pump cleaner, clad alignment splicer, and sleeve oven, was introduced. This product, in combination with low-cost Fusion Splice-On Connectors (FSOC), offers unparalleled efficiency and affordability for high-speed FTTH networks.

Maintaining its commitment to excellence and innovation, UCL Swift North America continues to engineer new products to meet the increasing demands of the fiber optic industry. A significant milestone is the development of the All-In-One fusion splicers that integrate thermal stripping, cleaving, splicing, and sleeving into one unit. This design innovation enhances installation efficiency and connection reliability. The Swift KF4A, an advanced All-In-One Active Cladding Alignment splicer, is one such product that counters common issues with conventional mechanical connectors.

Recently, UCL Swift has introduced the new Swift KR12A Ribbon splicer and the Swift K33A IPAAS Core Alignment splicer. These advanced systems further underline the company’s dedication to providing top-tier solutions for applications requiring high fiber counts and for medium and long-range optical circuits, LAN, CATV, and FTTx.

UCL Swift is proud to be ISO 9001:2008 certified, striving to meet or exceed international standards in all its facilities. With a global presence, UCL Swift ensures top-quality fusion splicers are accessible, irrespective of geographical location. From its headquarters in South Korea to its facilities across Europe and the Americas, the company serves the fiber optic communication needs of the FTTx, broadband, and data communications markets.
