The ELK-M1XSP is a versatile product that serves three different functions: providing additional serial ports, integrating with lighting systems, and connecting with thermostats. By configuring the jumpers on the M1XSP, you can select the appropriate application, connection, and protocol.
One of its key advantages is that the M1XSP operates via the 4-wire (RS-485) M1 Keypad data bus, which allows RS-232 ports to be positioned at significant distances from the control unit. Both the M1 Gold and M1EZ8 support the use of up to 7 M1XSPs, offering flexibility and scalability.
