This “active” RS-485 data bus hub is specifically engineered for scenarios where an M1Gold or M1EZ8 Control is being retrofitted into an older panel with multiple homerun 4-conductor keypad/data wires. It effectively divides the primary 485 data bus into four managed 485 branches, allowing each branch to accommodate two parallel home run cables, totaling up to eight home runs. To ensure proper operation and supervision, the termination at the end of each cable is done with EOL (End of Line) termination.
