The ELK Products M1 Series 16-Output Expander Module (8 Voltage + 8 Relays) is a powerful expansion solution designed to extend the output capabilities of ELK M1 Gold and M1EZ8 security and automation control systems. Commonly known as the ELK-M1XOVR, this module adds 16 programmable outputs — including 8 voltage outputs and 8 onboard relay outputs — allowing integrators to control lighting, sirens, strobes, gates, relays, HVAC systems, automation devices, and other low voltage equipment throughout residential and commercial installations.

Designed for advanced automation and security applications, the M1XOVR operates directly from the ELK 4-wire RS-485 data bus and supports flexible system expansion without requiring complex wiring changes. The 8 voltage outputs provide 12VDC trigger capability for low-current devices, while the 8 integrated SPDT relay outputs support higher-current switching applications for connected automation and security hardware. Additional relay expansion is possible using compatible ELK M1RB relay boards.

The module features onboard diagnostic LEDs, DIP switch addressing, and multiple mounting options for structured wiring enclosures and security cabinets. Up to 12 output expander modules may be added to a single ELK M1 system, allowing large-scale automation deployments with up to 208 programmable outputs.
