Product Description

Hammond Normally Open Thermostat (Fahrenheit)

Maintain safe operating temperatures inside enclosures with the Hammond Normally Open Thermostat (Fahrenheit), a compact and reliable temperature control device designed for electrical cabinets, network enclosures, and industrial control panels.

This thermostat is part of Hammond’s SKT Series and is specifically designed to activate cooling systems when internal temperatures rise above a set point. In a normally open (NO) configuration, the contact remains open under normal conditions and closes when temperature increases, turning on fans or signaling devices to prevent overheating.

Built for professional environments, the unit features a bi-metal thermal sensor and is commonly mounted on standard DIN rails, making it easy to integrate into panel builds and enclosure systems. It provides dependable temperature regulation to help extend the life of sensitive electronics and maintain consistent performance.

Key Features:

  • Normally Open (NO) contact – activates cooling devices on temperature rise
  • Fahrenheit scale for easy temperature adjustment
  • Designed for enclosures, cabinets, and rack systems
  • Supports fans or alarm signaling for overheating protection
  • 15A @ 120VAC / 10A @ 240VAC switching capacity
  • Compact size (~2.8″ H x 1.5″ W x 1.4″ D)
  • DIN rail mount for quick installation
  • Flame-retardant housing (UL-rated materials)
  • Adjustment range typically ~30°F to 140°F

The Hammond Normally Open Thermostat (Fahrenheit) is a simple but critical component for enclosure climate control. If you’re running fans in racks or panels, this device ensures they only operate when needed, protecting equipment while improving efficiency.
