FASTConnect® field-installable connectors are pre-polished connectors manufactured at the factory, eliminating the need for manual polishing in the field. These connectors utilize proven mechanical splice technology, ensuring precise alignment of optical fibers. They come with a factory pre-cleaved fiber stub and a specialized index-matching gel, resulting in an immediate low-loss termination for both single-mode and multimode optical fibers.
FASTConnect® connectors are versatile and compatible with various optical fiber sizes, including 250 µm and 900 µm optical fibers, as well as 900 µm, 2 mm, and 3 mm cordage. They support all primary fiber types and are color-coded according to industry standards for easy identification during and after installation. Each connector comes with a factory-installed wedge clip, which is removed and discarded upon completion of the termination process.
